Kelly Ng

I am an experienced print reporter, newly equipped with videography skills (via Columbia Journalism School), and eager to tell stories on multimedia platforms. I'm currently wrapping up my debut documentary on an Asian American elementary school theater club in Manhattan's Chinatown. Before this, I worked for four years with Singapore's second-most-read newspaper TODAY, covering crime, law, politics, health, environment and was named Young Journalist of the Year in 2017. I also served shorter shifts with a magazine at the Singapore Press Holdings, as well as China Radio International in Beijing. Got a story? I'm all ears.

Work centered on class, representation and race; inspired by the city that never sleeps. Behind its glitz and glamour, this melting pot reveals persistent, entrenched segregation across various lines.
